A professional jury composed of media specialists and high-ranking members of the Swiss watchmaking industry presented the Türler Media Prize and a check for SFr. 10,000 each year from 1984 to 2003.
The prize was awarded for the first time in 1984, when Türler celebrated its 100th anniversary. The Türler Media Prize commended individuals who devoted themselves to the multifaceted topic of time in its cultural, philosophical, technical, media-related, or historic aspects.
