Franz Türler Sr. takes over the management of the business.

Fredy Türler dies just two years after having joined the business. After his decease, Franz Türler Sr. becomes the sole managing director of the shops in Zürich and Bern. He takes advantage of post-war exuberance and gradually expands the business.

On February 24, 1946, Field Marshal Montgomery thanks Franz Türler Sr. for having perfectly cleaned and serviced his Longines wristwatch. The letter is accompanied by an autographed photo.
In his letter to Franz Türler Sr. dated August 25, 1946, Winston Churchill mentions his Atmos clock: «I have put it in my own room at Chartwell and will watch it every day with the greatest care.»
Many other famous customers who wrote history have fond memories of their visits to Türler shops, among them Dwight D. Eisenhower and Humphrey Bogart.
