1911 Arnold Türler receives the first radio license in Switzerland.
Zürich-based master watchmaker Arnold Türler receives Radio Receiver License No. 1 from the Swiss government. Using a simple crystal detector, this allows him to receive the time signals broadcast from the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
