1907 Arnold Türler opens a showroom at the Paradeplatz in Zürich.
In early November 1907, Arnold Türler, convinced that Zürich would gain significance as an international center of business and trade, moves the headquarters of his company from the rather picturesque and tranquil Münsterhof to the Paradeplatz which was already a bustling hub of social life. He finds suitable premises in the Savoy House, a legendary hotel even then.
At that time, the Paradeplatz had just been redesigned and the idyllic horse-drawn streetcars yielded to electric counterparts. Arnold Türler saw the writing on the wall: the Paradeplatz shop is still the headquarters of the Türler family business. |
